He has over 3 decades of experience in both Australia and UK. He has extensive training in skin cancer surgery, musculoskeletal medicine, palliative care, and musculoskeletal medicine. His mental health training included experience with community psychiatry where he honed his skills in cognitive therapy. The Skin Cancer experience includes minor surgery, flaps and grafts, and he still worked as a flying skin cancer doctor.

She speaks English, French, Sinhalese and Tamil.
